In a double-blind clinical trial published in the Indian Journal of Clinical Practice (2004, Volume 15, Number 7), 19 healthy adult participants were randomly divided into two groups and administered either PartySmart or the comparative product. The study was completed on two separate nights with a week’s washout period so that the PartySmart group would be administered the comparative product on the second night and visa versa for the group that received the comparative product on the first night. The PartySmart group was given a dose of one PartySmart capsule 30 minutes before their first drink while the comparative product group was given a dose of two capsules initially followed by one capsule per drink.

All participants were given the same type of alcohol and food; quantities were adjusted for body weight. They were assessed at the beginning of the study and after 10 hours for physical and biochemical parameters.
